Taking its name from Margaret Thatcher’s wets, the Wet Rot Thinktank is the voice of middle England. Public debate is informed by the uninformed musings of American social media algorithms that do not reflect our reality.
Together, this think tank aims to reclaim the centre. We’re not political, but we are realistic. We’re a collective of students from Trinity College, Cambridge who see the world a bit differently, and want to share it.
The world is confused, but the word confused is a verb of action. It is being confused. Clarity of thought is the underlying principle in what we write, thinking in simple English not political terms.
As the political world narrows, and thought makers decrease in number, we want to give England, which is our world, a think tank it can thank.
